Protection starts beneath the goods.

Introducing our new pallet pads. Create a separating layer between the timber pallet and your goods, or between stacked product layers where separation is needed.

01 / Placement

One pad.
Two useful positions.

Choose the position for the contact surface you want to separate. Base protection and layer separation are different jobs, and a load may use both.

Under the first product layer

Base protection, the pad sits beneath the goods. Schematic, not to scale.

Place a pad directly on the pallet before loading cartons, bags, coils or other goods.

The pad helps reduce direct contact with the pallet surface, including splinters, grime and surface moisture.

Between product layers

Layer separation, the pad sits between the goods. Schematic, not to scale.

Position a pad between stacked layers where separation is required.

Count each separator position when calculating how many pads a finished pallet load will use.

02 / Before loading

Check the pallet.
Then place the pad.

A separating layer works with a suitable pallet and a considered loading routine. Make these three checks before the first goods go on.

  1. Inspect the pallet.Check its condition and address exposed nails, loose boards or other defects before loading.
  2. Confirm the footprint. This pad measures 1165 × 1165 mm. Check your actual pallet dimensions and product layout.
  3. Place it flat.Set the pad on the pallet surface, then check that the first product layer sits in the intended position. Add layer pads where your packing method calls for separation.

03 / The packing process

Pads and wrap
do different jobs.

Choose each part of the packing process for the goods and handling conditions involved.

Pallet pads separate surfaces.

Use them beneath goods and between product layers where separation is needed. Check the fit and count each placement in your packing routine.

Stretch film contains the load.

Film is used around the assembled load. For the wrapping stage, see our hand pallet wrapping guide.

If your application needs a tested anti-slip surface, moisture barrier or a particular load rating, confirm that specification with our team before ordering.

04 / Order quantities

Count the positions.
Plan the quantity.

The pallet pad listing is sold in full-pallet quantities of 500 pads. A pack of 500 does not necessarily mean 500 completed pallet loads, because a load may need more than one pad.

A simple planning example

with 2 pads remaining

For this example, each completed load uses three pads. The positions and number of layers must suit your actual goods and packing method.
